Watch Andrew Stanton's JOHN CARTER on Starz tonight and tomorrow; check out these FAN TRAILERS and FAN POSTERS
Andrew Stanton’s John Carter, the most poorly marketed film in the history of movies, begins its run on Starz Network tonight at 9 ET/PT and tomorrow at 8:20AM and 4:50PM. If you’re like most people, you were unimpressed by Disney’s trailers, posters, and campaign in general. PLEASE take a look at our docu clip and trailer below, and also take a look at a handful of fan posters below and see if your interest is piqued to see a film that is a whole lot better and more intriguing than the disastrous results would indicate. And by the way $280M worldwide is disastrous only because they spent too much making it; Prometheus only did $50m more and is getting a sequel. I’m just sayin’….
So, here, first of all, is a clip from the documentary that Mark Linthicum and I are making called “The Life and Mind of Edgar Rice Burroughs”. The clip explains the 100 year history of Hollywood and John Carter, and culminates with our “Heritage” trailer for Andrew Stanton’s film.
And here is the original fan trailer we made on Feb 5, 2012, after watching Disney’s Super Bowl Ad for John Carter completely tank. This one has 209,000 views to date
And here is a flyer using fan art for the Dec 1 Benefit Screening of John Carter at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica.
And here is a gallery of the fan posters that are incorporated into the flyer above (and some others).
Come on, now, you’ve gotta give ol’ John Carter a chance and watch it on Starz tonight at 9 ET/PT or tomorrow at 8:20AM or 4:50PM. You won’t regret it.
